Introduction
In the past I would be immensely interested in anonymous chatting sites like Omegle, which pair you up with a completely random stranger from anywhere across the globe. Many of these sites had functions where the user could input a topic of conversation they were interested in and more often than naught, the person on the other end would be either a spammer, a bot, or someone who was just plain unpleasant. To this day, I do enjoy the idea of having a genuine, engaging conversation with a complete stranger; the problem was that the matching system was too randomized, even with the option to input a topic of interest.

Versate is an app concept that would allow the user to first select a conversation topic, then browse through the other users who are looking to converse about the same thing. With each person, the user would be able to view that person's profile in order to decide whether or not this person is a good fit for the conversation. In this profile would include the first name, user-uploaded photos, imported Facebook likes, and a short description bio. Based on this, the user is able to either like or pass on this particular person. If the other user also selects that user, they are able to start a conversation.
