Introduction

One of the biggest complaints I've heard from my vegan, lactose-free, celiac, or other dietary-restricted friends is how it was a hassle to switch around recipe ingredients if they ever wanted to be able to make something. As someone who also has problems with this particular issue, I decided to put together a low-fidelity prototype of an app called Laze that would allow users to input the ingredients they have at home and search for recipes, so they wouldn't have to leave their house to cook up a delicious, simple dinner.

The user would also be able to add preferences to the app in terms of dietary needs, preferred cuisine style, diet, etc. The option to manually add special allergies and diet rules would also be present.

After filtering the results based on the ingredients and the user's preferences, the user would have the option to save recipes for future use and view reviews on the website the recipe was retrieved from. Additionally, if the user checks the "include recipes with substitutes" checkbox, the results would also display recipes including substitutes for the inputted ingredients.
